Could be the final nail in the coffin for many supporters in my opinion .

As far as I know the EFL and the EFL club's never had consent or even a mandate from the supporters to drastically change KO times .

Barnsley v Stockport County @ 7.45PM on a Saturday Night and they never even considered you !!!

Next time they roll out the " People's Game " narrative to cuddle you so you part with your hard earned just remember that .

Just remember what this product looked like during the Covid Season .

I understand that fans are fans and will support their club's because of love and many other reasons but also remember without you in the stands they don't have a product .

The Saturday afternoon football fix in my opinion was always part of English football culture , even an away day was part of Saturday football culture , Sunday's never did quite do it for me .

Working all week and everything was set up for you on a Saturday and just as cemented in English culture as fish n chips , the Sunday lunchtime few pints and taking the Mrs out on a Saturday night .

Saturday was football day , On The Ball with Brian Moore , Saint and Greavsie set the day up , the results coming in at 5pm and your Saturday Evening Green Un .

Thousands upon thousands of football fans up and down the country heading for railway stations on a Saturday morning , motorway services packed with fans following their club's to away games .

A whole way of life discarded for a few miserly quid .

Feel for the younger fans and those yet to be born , sorry to say you'll never know how good it once was and you never will .

    Very Sad .

I have been a regular attender since 1961 and once again I have renewed my season ticket but I fear that these changes to kick off times and days we play could finally put an end to me going to Oakwell , my loyalty is being severely tested , my love and support for the club will remain for ever and is not even in question no matter what league we are in but I detest the paymasters dictating the changes in the game and frankly I have had enough , the tradition of football in this country has been taken over by total greed and this is reflected not only by the clubs but also the top players and it starting to really sicken me , I will take stock at the end of this season and see what my thoughts are regarding the future and take it from there .

You're a dinosaur Animal. Just like me. The game has to change to improve and survive, the EFL will say.
Exactly as you point out; younger people will never ever know how good the game was. For me, the Ifollow coverage that I could get last season as a non-attending fan was a fair balance. This season, I refuse to pay Sky to watch my team. I will soon be doing 6 months in Portugal and 6 months here in the UK so may pick up some games, when in Portugal, via Ifollow. And that's only a maybe, if I feel like it.
Too much has changed, and I'm sure there are many more changes yet to come that we haven't even considered.

I think we are both worldly enough to know Arby and the vast majority of us are on here that breaking with tradition is fine if it actually improves the game for the benefit of everyone .

As you know I'm a Rugby League man , there couldn't be a bigger breaking of tradition than dispensing with the traditional winter game and turning it into a summer sport .

Breaking with tradition yes but improving the game for the benefit of everyone made it hugely worthwhile .

Do I want to stand in the freezing cold and rain in December watching Rugby League on a mud bath ? Or do I want to watch the game in sunny conditions in t shirt and shorts on perfect pitches ?

It's no contest and absolutely nobody within the Rugby League would go back to the days of Winter League .

All 32 of the Carabao Cup games are televised on Sky tomorrow (Tuesday) evening.

As it is unlikely club's Season Tickets can be used for this game and match tickets will have to be purchased it will be interesting to note how many attend the games.

Dismays me to see the Saturday late night kick offs. I for one (well both of us ) won't be going. Sod it. I can see us getting a fair few of these fixture changes, especially later in the season when the Sheffield clubs and good old SYP start to say to Sky…” move it to late please, so,we can police the games in Sheffield better.”.
The club will get more compensation, from SKY than they lose from “in ground purchases” somwont be bothered……..
Online 50/50 draw tickets will be available next season….
