    Conor Chaplin

Conor Chaplin told SunSport: “I didn’t decide to leave Barnsley, I was told I wasn’t going to play much as the club were going in a new direction.
That went down really well !!

Yep - I can believe that.
It’s clear what they are looking for when they sign players - tall, quick, athletic.
But where does that leave the young players coming through that arn’t that eg Marsh and Fabio.

Messi, Xavi and Iniesta clearly need not apply.

Clearly he’s quite irked about his departure because of how he speaks about it.

I liked Chaplin when he was here. His goalscoring run might’ve been a bit of a purple patch but I thought on the ball he was good when dropping deep and he had the tenacity that suits our club.

Although I must say that I didn’t think he’d ever make it to the premier league. Like a a few more of our ex players (mainly through Luton). Good luck to him though, hope he notches a few against the big teams.

Didn't Chaplin say this a few years ago now ?.
I thought all of our fans knew he'd said these negative things about the owners, and how they run the club.
And I hear that even Micky Long Haul (Duff) came out recently, and said some similar negative things, apparently.

Ohh I'm not sticking up for them Eth, they annoy the hell out of me as well.
In fact I wish they would all go, and today if possible!. But we don't have any other options to replace them, which means we're stuck with them, and they know it!.
And we also see this a lot don't we, where a former player or manager/coach (at any club, not just ours), who maybe left a club on bad terms. Then they come out mouthing off and giving all sorts of criticisms. 👎
