    Poor crop of journalists

These days. Just read a write up about WBA travelling to Leeds this Saturday. How can you get that so wrong? Also spelling mistakes, how can you send it out as a wrap? Is there no pride?

As I mentioned before they seem to be a bunch of illiterates dragged off the street, the BBC News site is one of the worst, there’s even a podcast about the infamous Sheffield Utd v Albion game, it’s worth a listen, a few mistakes by the female who wrote it, I think proof reading has been abandoned, when I had my book published it took around a week of proof reading (365 pages), these days it seems time is of the essence.

You don't need to Proof Read when you have Smell Checkers

🤣 The dreaded spillchocker. I’ve also seen this morning “Leeds have yet to win this season” and that this Saturdays match is a “must win” for Leeds. 🤷*♂️
One match played! They must be desperate for something to say!

It is pretty clear that there are a lot of so called journalists that write about things that they know absolutely nothing about. The BBC is disgraceful in this respect, the use of English on many of their web pages is truly awful. Apart from their football coverage, their reporting on cycling is obviously done by someone with no knowledge of the sport and who cannot be bothered to look up the facts. Cycling is a sport in which Britons have done very well in recent years and still the BBC can’t be bothered about it.

So many in media are obviously inept and lazy.

I have, on a number of occasions, heard Swedish football commentators say: West Bromwich Albion from Birmingham play in black and white stripes… 😱

    Lazy w**kers…

You should take it upon yourself to correct these w anchors Thomas.

You’re best placed to correspond in Swedish and tell them they’re a bunch of c hunts.

By the way, how do you say the following in Swedish, does the English version get used universally or do you use the local language?

    W a n k er?

    C hunt?

    F uck?

    I should, I know…

F uck is used in ”Swedish”, sometimes. Altered a bit to ”fit in”. To ”F uck up” would be ”att fuc ka upp”, for instance.

The other two no, Swedish words and expressions are used, and there are a number of alternatives to choose from.
