    Griff.

Now that you are a resident of glastershire, you must be faced with the same predicament as myself when i moved to Cambs from brum. I was a Bromsgrove fan, now i am struggling to find a suitable replacement, there was Wisbech, then Dereham, Ely, and my latest forlorn attempt to find a club to love, Lakenheath.

Lakenheath is wonderful, just too tin pot, no burgers. Kings Lynn is great, but 20 quid?, are they kidding. Its not the money, its paying overr the top for ordinary football, its putting money in the pockets of footballing dufusses.

Have you given up going to football,? as a day trip to watch carlisle is unlikely, where are you going, there is a strange coincidence that if you watch gloucester city that ground too gets flooded, and may entertain carp in the penalty areas as well.

Lakenheath has a wonderful ground and if I’m ever in the area I will take in a game, forget the burger van sat inside the main gates as it would just spoil the whole ambience of being in the ground, you can go two hours without eating Frank and if you fancy a drink just take one with you, where are Lakenheath in the league as I fear for them if you have started to give them your support, you will tire of them, call for the managers head, ridicule the player that scored from 40 yards out on his wrong foot, you’ve already started by complaining about the lack of burgers vans there ,you will give them a hard time on the plate board, they will hear of this and get demoralised and in turn be relegated and after all this you go away and find another club to support

Frank. There can be no other Club. I will join the lad, and probably his lad, in visiting such impressive venues as Swindon, Cheltenham and Newport to watch the mighty Blues this season. Alas, gone are the days, when living near Bath, when we used to go to Torquay, Exeter, Plymouth, Yeovil, Bournemouth, FGR, Bristol City and Rovers, Kidderminster, Hereford and occasional jaunts to Walsall and Wycombe (where the lad was born), depending on the fixture list. I now watch almost all other Carlisle games on a screen. This season it will be via Sky or an international Pass on Carlisle United TV. I’m able to do this, if anyone should be so impudent as to ask, because of my regular joints abroad to see in-laws in Canada or South Africa or because of visits to my (ahem) holiday home in Cyprus and visiting friends in Austria.

    It’s called loyalty Frank.

Yes, your loyalty to a company is impressive, you give them money, they buy big cars. What do you get back? The days when Carlisle have topped english football have gone for good, those days are when football was not corrupt as the Kremlin.

Carlisle even went non league for years more than once. Its all good though. So you dont watch local football then. A shame.

Since Carlisle joined the Football League they have only dropped out once, for one season. If Carlisle don’t have a Saturday game I’d consider watching a local side, though it might be rugby.

True story.. my secondary school was a “Modern Comprensive” Moston Brook that made f00kin Grange Hill look a Grammar School.. it’s now a business park where GMP headquarters is but back on topic..

As the Tubby one but tall I was the A Team Goal Keeper & good dare I say.. 😎

We had 4/5 football pitches in various sizes based on year groups & in year 5 the PE teacher came out with an egg shaped ball..

Right.. you are going to learn Rugby today…

The basics.. you kick off towards them & “imagine” the goals are an “H” shape 🤷*♂️

They have so many attempts to get the “ball” over the goal line.. if they do then they get a kick through the imaginary H for more points. Then kick off back to them.

    Any questions before we start?

Me… what is the f00kin point? If we’re sh1te… they score points then kick it back to them to have another go….

Got sent to the Housemaster & got the strap for swearing at a teacher..

    Never got it since ..
