Only days ago you were saying we have the best set of Directors in the history of the club.
Mek thi mind up.
( It's "summat", not "summert"--as written in Roma's Tarnspeyk Book )
I would imagine most supporters are thinking that right now.
I’m guessing here - but from the outside looking in it seems as though things are not running as they were.
There was the appointment of Collins last season that was totally contrary to the basic beliefs on how the club plays.
And then this season we are struggling to bring players in.
Roberts, Gent, Craig and the 2 goalkeepers have been good signings.
Hourihane signing is more a case of assisting him with his coaching badges.
But that’s all there is.
We need more than this just to make the cake - without even considering the icing.
I heard what DC had to say regarding ‘they can bring 5 strikers in tomorrow, but we want to bring the right players in’.
But surely we should have seen more activity than what we’ve seen.
The Collins appointment didn’t add up.
And so far this season things don’t add up.
Has there has been changes behind the scenes that have not been divulged ?
If there is - I’ve not got much faith in the sports reporters surrounding the club to find out what it is - as they don’t dig - they just seem to report what they are told.

Best directors in the history of the club - yes I do believe something on the lines of that.
Best in my lifetime.
I didn’t say it a couple of days ago tho.
Having the best directors in my lifetime doesn’t mean things run smoothly all the time.
When and if they make a mistake then I’ll say so.
No one more than me on here was more critical of the Collins mistake that they made last season.
Most of the happy clappers on here were supportive of the appointment of Collins.
And I’ve yet to be convinced about the Hourihane appointment - even tho most again believe it was a great appointment.
As for DC - the football being played is far better than last season - we have moved away from the tippy tappy style - but it’s still disjointed.
I’m giving DC the benefit of the doubt right now because the squad isn’t yet up to speed.
But I’ve yet to be totally convinced.
The penny might be dropping , there was nothing wrong with Collins in fact he did remarkably well to get us to the play offs & there is nothing wrong with Clarke but you do not have to be a member of mensa to see that the club is gradually being run down, each year a new coach is employed and given a weaker squad to work with , its rinse and repeat but there"s none as blind as them that cannot see , until we have new owners coupled with new investment then we will gradually decline both on and off the pitch , I just wish they would admit that they are out of their depth and put us up for sale, test the water and see if there are any interested parties.
Ditto that Shads. My feelings exactly
Cash is king in football , if we had a good budget then the signings would already be here , simple as that .
The club hasn't a pot to pyss in that much is clearly obvious which is why we are in the position we are in regarding recruitment .
I've little doubt we had targets lined up , lots of them , problem is they weren't attracted by what we had to offer and looked elsewhere .
So now our targets are the ones that will be attracted to what we can pay which isn't necessarily the ones we'd have initially liked to sign .
The club may get lucky of course and this week may well see some talent recruited that will massively improve us , it does happen , it's happened before .
However in my opinion that's all it would be , luck , the truth is that the owners are simply crossing their fingers and hoping to catch a break rather than a solid plan in which they fully believe will bear fruit .
The sting in the tail for them is that the luck they desire doesn't happen and the situation becomes worse .
That happens too .
We hang by a thread , we really do .
A very poor league one season will see even more fans drift away and the financial situation becomes even more severe as a consequence .
Suddenly the owning of a football club becomes massively less of an attraction than it once did or the propaganda they once swallowed is just simply that .
With next no emotional connections to this town and a business they no longer particularly like or are prepared to keep solvent the future could be grim .
Very grim .
Most will just point at money being the overriding problem.
I don’t think it’s the main problem - we have wealthy owners that have sold £££millions worth of players and there’s the Styles money to add to all that.
Of course money is a limiting factor - but something seems to have changed.
Could it be James has taken a step back - hence the appointment of Mladen ?
Watch the Season Ticket sales plummet next season if we have an average season.
Fans were not really aware of the new Sky deal when they were encouraged to buy Early Bird ST's
They are now.
I think the directors have got themselves into a deep hole with regards to the fans.
They will not have done this purposely - so why has it happened ???
They need to pull a big stonking white rabbit out of the hat this week if they are hoping to turn things around.
Why has it happened ?
They have tried to run a second/ third tier club without spending a penny of their own money.
They haven't even paid to buy the club yet, a £3 million loan is owed to the Crynes having taken the first instalment of £750K from Club Accounts.
The "millions they have put in" is Share Equity and I'm not going through the difference between that and straight cash injection again. Even Lee has put in £3 mill in Share Rights purchases over the last eigh**** months and he is not Father Christmas--he wants a return on his money.
