    Quiz question

There was a player playing at Clitheroe this afternoon who had scored a Premier League goal against Manchester City, quite possibly the first and only player to have played at Shawbridge who has achieved that feat.

Any idea who it was ?

Richie Baker? He seems to have been around. Unless it was someone in the opposition which makes it a tricky question sinky as we don't know who Clitheroe were playing.

I googled it sinkov so won’t reveal the answer but if I am right two City players with connections to Burnley were in the City team.

Ithink it was Macdonald who scored our tying goal in a 3-3 tie. A right foot volley well placed. For some reason I can see it now . The manager was Cone?, a Scot who moved on to Bolton I believe

It wasn't Richie Baker or Kevin Macdonald.

It's George Boyd who came out of retirement to play for Wythenshawe midway through last season.

It was indeed our George, actually he was playing for Wythenshawe Town, we're playing Wythenshawe on Saturday.

Kompany provided the assist! and Joe Hart was in goal.
