Currently 9th (out of 10) in Scottish Championship.

I'll keep an eye on their results.

Hopefully doesn't get sacked one game before end of season if he takes them to Play Offs.

    Go Neill. Go the Ravers.

When he drops on a club that suits him I’m sure Neill Collins will be successful.
    Good luck at Raith.

I think Neil got some awful criticism from certain 'fans' to be honest.
Yeah he might have been the wrong choice as it sort of turned out in the end!.
And he also might have sounded like a boring bloke most of the time, but that's irrelevant anyway isn't it.
I think he did his best with some of the poorer quality he was given. And I dread to think of what sort of abuse he would have got, if we weren't in the top six, and even more so if we were actually in the bottom four!. 😡

    As said previously.
Players from the 1st Team left the club after last season.
If those players had signed for Chesterfield or Morecambe then the case that it was a poor team will have held some credibility.

But that’s not the case is it ???

Those players actually signed for Championship clubs and top 1st Division clubs.
Add to that the players already at the club - plus comments from Sormaz after Collins was sacked - and it all adds up to the fact that Barnsley should have finished higher than 6th and should have had a real chance of winning the playoffs.
But how many supporters were confident that Collins would win the playoffs ???
    Very few.
    Including the directors.

The evidence shows that Collins was a disaster for Barnsley - he has potentially cost the club a real push for promotion and all the money that comes with that.
Money that could be used to strengthen the squad.

Even worse than not finishing higher than we should have, and failing to have a real chance at promotion - was the horrible type of football the supporters had to endure throughout a long frustrating season.
Discounting the Conway Season - the Collins Season will go down as the worst most boring football witnessed at Barnsley in decades.

His style of football wasn’t great. In fact, in some cases I’d say it was rather turgid. However, he got the results. Always ifs and buts in football but who knows where we’d have finished if we’d have clung on against Bolton.

Glad he’s got another job and I wish him well.
