A good window
I'd rate some of the signings as better than solid, but all good characters, which is what was required, got rid of those who didn't want to be here for good money

Yep , some leaders and aggression in those signings and just as important is who we have kept in the squad , Koleosho, Brownhill , Esteve , Foster & Benny all linked with moves but still here.
Hopefully , some of Ramsay , Redmond , Delcroix, Ekdal , Agyei & Bayer back soon and it's a decent squad if we can avoid too many injuries.UTC

Exactly what I think ballcock and I would like us to avoid defeat in our next three fixtures.

I've never been a professional footballer, so I'm not speaking from experience, but I can't imagine this fiasco, where every single player was liable to be shipped out on the whim of the club"s owners/accountants at a moment's notice, has done much for the morale of the players, how it plays out over a full season remains to be seen, but we still have players who might leave with other windows still open, if any club in this league has a squad of unsettled players it's going to be us.

They have managed to salvage something from the window in the last couple of days, especially Flemming, but flying players in by helicopter just a couple of hours before the window closes epitomises just how our owners are operating, flying by the seat of their pants.

Up front is where the big problem is, Foster still looks a million miles away from the player Vinni thought he was signing, Jay, bless him, is past his sell by date, and if the French L2 player is the answer I'll be on the phone to the local Burton's manager to book a date.

Positivity is key here lads.
Now the dust has settled we have an amazing squad for this division.
The ones we have retained, Luca, Benny, Lyle, all offer things which we all know are going to give us some exciting times.
New ones need to settle in, but there is for sure some quality there. I think we have a strong engine in amongst it.
Defensively we have plenty to cope at this level, and we have 2 very good keepers.
Onwards and upwards from here.

I was impressed with Foster & Koleosho today. No toys out of their prams, good honest graft from them both and a goal from Foster. Happy!

I think Foster, Koleosho (especially) and Benson looked committed to their credit. We have the makings of a good team but we still need that predatory striker in January.
