Really Worried about Balan

He last posted on May 10th bb but has been worryingly silent since then despite BT’s attempts to contact him by means other than this message board.

Given the age of some of us perhaps we should consider providing details of next of kin, but only to Admin and on a voluntary basis. I hope Balan is alright, he is a good contributor to this forum, both his posts and his photos.

I have tried & tried to contact him.

I have contacted his friends and relatives on Facebook and nothing.

I have his own personal email account and nothing.

I'm fearing the worse.

I echo the sentiments about Balan and sincerely hope that he is okay. However, I have some recollection of his saying that he was nearer 90 than 80 at some stage -----does anyone else remember that?

Yes sub. I remember being surprised at how old he was.

I can tell you all categorically he was born in Rishton on 19th April, 1943. He played football for Accrington Schoolboys in 1958 and if he is still looking forward to his 82nd birthday I wish he would let us all know.

Sadly, I cannot raise a positive answer but I will keep on trying to establish whether the old bugger is still around.

Cheers BT, I did think that he was older than that.
Worrying thing is that he lives in a kibbutz in the north fo Israel and is most likely within the range of Hezbollah rockets etc.
Fingers crossed for him.

Somewhat morbidly I suppose, I check just where the Hezbollah rockets land and they are further away from Balan in Hazafon.

Good news and bad news guys, I have had a message from one of his neighbours, Balan is alive but is seemingly suffering with dementia and cannot remember much.
