    Newport

No posts since Sunday?? Where is everyone for LB's 100th game in charge?

CBR will obviously score, but maybe Mickey (and Bogle?) can return the compliment. They've been leaking goals afer a good start, can we sneak another win?

We are leaking again like a sieve. We do not have the firepower to outscore teams. Newport outplayed Crewe 50% of the time but vice versa. I am struggling to see how we set up against these teams. Injuries are beginning to play their part again, not enough depth in the squad to support a best (if we know what that is). Not much traffic on the channel?

Yes, I think the miserablists have finally had an impact.
Re: the Alex, I was away last week and didn't get the chance to see any of the game. I've watched the highlights and the goals conceded were a bit same old. The first, this strange idea that it's not possible to shoot from outside the area just because our own players are told not to. It's a matter of percentages: some shots may go wildly askew others get blocked. But some, if hit right go straight in giving goalkeepers no chance. Others get a deflection that might completely bamboozle the keeper. You don't know if you don't try. We've had enough scored against us over the years - you'd think we learn something from that either way.
As for the second- it should be goalkeeper's ball all day. He's got an advantage, he can use his hands!!
Anyway Thibault had the ball in the net twice. Yes, the first one was given offside but the point is, he was there. I don't know what he was like the rest of the game but what little I've seen he seems an exciting prospect.
So now we've got 4 or 5 midfielders injured but we've still got Breckin and Sanders so that's okay for a 5-2-3. Plus Agius and Lankester can fill those positions.
Is it time to go with Roberts instead of Tracy? Of course, I don't know the injury situation re Bogle, Powell, and Long but none of them had minutes against Wigan on Monday so they won't be risked against Gillingham but there is the paint pot next Tuesday. I'm hoping there be an appearance there, at least.
