    Celtic

There used to be debates from north of the border about Celtic and Rangers playing in the PL, they don't bang on about it as much now..

However.. did anyone watch the Celtic vs Dortmund match last night.. they were demolished, Celtic looked very poor and gave the ball away at every opportunity.. I don't even think they could make it out of the championship never mind top half of the Premier League

Well there'd be no point now anyway. Both clubs are huge but wouldn't be allowed anywhere near the top table because of the red cartel.

They'd have to join the bottom of the football Pyramid league 2.

Rangers financial issues a few years back broke the rivalry, handing the Champions League money to Celtic for a very long time.
The 'Tic have gone on to dominate the league in terms of transfer spend and wages.

However, personally I don't think either would get out of the Championship. People seem to underestimate the difficulty of the Championship. 48 grueling games. The two big Glasgow teams would have a real challenge against some top teams in the Chimpo. Leeds, Burnley, West Brom, Sheffield Utd, Watford have all yoyo'd between Chip and Prem in recent years. The Mackems at top of the shop right now, will be delighted to relegate them in the 25/26 season taking 6 points off them, get back to the dominance pre-Ashley/Pardew if they manage to stay up, if they actually get promoted at the end of the season.

I think they'd struggle in Championship as well.

Article on BBC I thought summed it up well, Celtic treated Dortmund like they were St. Johnson and they (celtic) could come and do their thing nad walk away with points.

    Pleased to see them battered.

Big fish little pond. They'll never achieve the heights of that Rangers team spearheaded by Gazza, McCoist & Laudrup.

That was the high tide mark of Scottish football. Good Celtic teams, Brilliant Rangers team. They'll never recapture that level of quality.
