    More Than 1 In 10

Of the prisoners let out of Scotland's jails early to empty the jails were back in before their original release date, a fifth of them within 10 days & more than a third of them for violent offences. I think that's at least 3 times (possibly 4) they've emptied Scots prisons to the same result. Now surely the Scots government are left with one of the following options.

    1. Just keep releasing prisoners en masse ad infinitum.
    2. Build more prisons.
    3. Make more crimes legal (like they've done with shoplifting and drugs)

We should have a vote on which crimes people would like to see legalised to ease prison overcrowding.

Saw that, wasn't surprised - you can't change these people as they are what they are.

Legalise calling immigrant criminals what they are instead of banging people up for it first. That's needed.

The argument to that is the time and cost, simple solution get prisoners to build Stalag Luft style camps on one of Scotlands 700 uninhabited islands. No need to worry about any Tom Dick or Harry being dug.

It's pretty undeniable that being soft on crime dosent work except for criminals.

I can see a time coming when nobody under 30 and no females at all will be incarcerated unless it's for murder, criticising islam or no painting a pride flag on their pus during pride month

I'm no shrinking violet but plenty places in Dundee I wouldn't walk alone now especially after dark......mibbe just an age thing but I dinnae think so

The members of the Prison Reform Trust would say that it was a breach of a prisoners human rights to put them in an Stalag Luft style camp on an uninhabited Scottish island.
I still think that the way to reduce prison numbers in the long run is to bring back the Death Penalty for crimes like murder.

It was against peoples human rights to imprison people in their own homes and the elderly in care homes during Covid but they done it, governments can pass emergency legislation when it suits them and the prison population is an emergency.

Looks like it might be option 1, long term prisoners turn now.
