Home only just me and our dog Bella .

My wife has gone to Rome with her 2 sisters this morning for 5 days .
So proud of of her ,she is a nervous flyer last time we went abroad was 39 years ago .
She has always wanted to see all the sights in Rome , she wanted me to go but it would have been to much for me on my crutches , the Spanish steps I have trouble with the Brummie rd steps .
We have booked a nice hotel for them and have treated her sisters to a holiday .
I been a wreck all morning ,so was relieved when they landed .
Feel lost already,Ist time I've been on my own . But my Brother in law has invited me to Sunday dinner .
Very lucky and blessed to have married into a wonderfull family .

That's a lovely read Lloyd. I just hope for your sake that Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves don't stumble across the forum as I dare say they'd be after your pensions as well as your winter fuel allowance 😉.

Good on her Lloyd and I hope she has a great time.

Me and the missus have probably 5 or 6 breaks apart each year, sometimes when she goes away with either of our daughters or with his sister.

I go to Harrogate more than she does and have a few nights on my own.

I’ve worked from home for the past 33 years so we do spend 24/7 together a lot of the time and I think the breaks do us good tbh.

She sure as Hell needs a rest from me occasionally!

Hi ,Mick we spend 24hr a day together apart from going up the Albion . , I drive her mad sometimes , I'm a bit deaf ,so sometimes I'll miss a word in a sentance and fill in with another word and completely change the meaning .
Just got back from the brotherlaws,he cooked a lovely for me and Lisa and her children .
Nice afternoon ,but now I'm home seems so empty but my dog is always by my side .
They impressed with hotel ,with a great 360 open roof terrace .

I guess I’ve always been happy with my own company Lloyd, I’m very self contained and have never really needed friends and people around me.

I could’ve lived in Alaska in a remote cabin if I’d been born in that part of the world.

We get on well and still laugh a lot and after over 38 years it still works thankfully.
