    Tuchel - England Manager

Tuchel has agreed to become the new England manager.

Great for us as it removes the thought from the press on how to target and unsettle the club by linking Eddie.

Be interesting to see how he does.

Aye, exactly the word I was thinking of, Jammy-interesting.

He's a very good manager but a bit of a spiky personality-might not go down well if results don't go well and fans haven't necessarily taken to him.

As you say, though-good for us to put the speculation to bed.

Indeed he is! However, a blind one eye'd rat is an upgrade on Chinless Southgate.

Great that the FA finally made a decision, stopped all the nonsense about Howe & also takes one more option off the market for the Red Filth if they decide to pot Ten Pence, what had been mooted as their top target is no locked into a long term contraact with England.

    Delightful!

    haha WELLLL YA KNOOOOO!

Was delightful when they got shot of Ollie and Bruce was available, how the C-U-Next-Tuesday's like Ferdinand et al squirmed when we all started Hyping Bruce as interim manager.

Suddenly this great manager, who Newcastle should be grateful to have in the dug out.

Every time the pot a manager, our fan base has to get on the vote sites and get Cabbage the position at OT.

Makes me laugh, people close to blowing their load over the prospect of Pep are now up in arms that the new manager isn’t English.

Tuchel has done well at a lot of high pressure clubs, Dortmund, PSG, Chelsea, Bayern (and Bayern reportedly got turned down when they tried to get him back, before Kompany got the job)… a far cry from Southgate’s experience.

He’s a relatively young manager, who’s going to bring some new ideas and has a great squad to work with.

Can you imagine if we beat Germany in the World Cup final!?! 😁

As good as England will get to manage them. Honestly who else? The job is a part time career wrecker. I always viewed it as the cherry on top of the career of a successful club manager who was at the end.

Dare I say it the like of Rafa, Klopp, Wenger a few years ago or even Fergie a decade ago. Unless he wins it, nothing good will come for the future career of a young manager. Bit like the PM job - destined for failure eventually.

Not sure… given recent finishing positions I’d say there’s a good case that this is as good a chance as any manager has to get their hands on the biggest trophies in football… especially coming into the World Cup.

If he can settle down on a team, and find his long term fullbacks especially, I think that squad as it is only needs the fullbacks and some better CB’s to rotate in… and given the CB’s Southgate has ignored, and Branthwaite coming though, I think it’s mostly on the fullback that will, on paper at least, make the massive difference.

The rest is him, his tactics, starting line ups and substitutions… but that’s the same ask on any manager.

Rather England manager to have a shot at picking up the silverware than 95% of the current squads out there I reckon.

Big "IF". A lot can stop it from happening and it is probably the most scrutinised job in the game, patience is short for success. I guarantee it will end with no world cup or Euros and he will be the next Turnip/Parsnip. Tuchel Blaukraut or something. The margins are so small in international football, creme de la creme.

I could be wrong but it will probably end with failure and some kind of personal attack on TT.
