Thread: PIF a damp squib?

    PIF a damp squib?

We sold our souls to our head chopping overlords for what? A team slightly better than before? This this team is on a par with Pardews and Carrs peak.

I knows there’s profit and sustainability rules but they have the resources to fight them or at least work around them.

Frankly Aston Villa are in better hands on and off the field.

I don't think you can work around the rules. They're doing exactly what the cartel designed them to do. Whatever Masters and his puppeteers come up with to replace them will be designed with an identical purpose. I guess I agree on the resources part in that, hopefully, we'll be able to fight the League to prove they're anti-competitive.

You might want to rethink your post once you've seen the plans for the new stadium/ revamp of St. James'.

I agree it's not what we'd hoped or expected...yet ..and maybe the landscape has changed forever because of the cartel's efforts to shut up shop but I'm definitely not at the losing faith stage yet by any means.

Look at the way Sky, with their efforts to destabilise us over Gordon and now Isak's contracts, are doing the work of the cartel. See, in the same vein, the way the Telegraph and the Mail are trying to stir up sh!t over the takeover even now but talk with breathless excitement about the possibility of PIF being interested in Liverpool without any mention of human rights.

Every fcuker is hoping for us to fall.

As fans, we need to stick together and keep the faith. Don't get sucked in by those wanting everything to go tits up.

    ...is my take, anyway 🙂

In no way are they a damp squib.

Personally - I think it's madness to even think that.

They've had their hands tied repeatedly.

We will get there but the rules that have been designed to strangle us are working for the most part.

It's why we're stocking the academy, give it a couple of years and we'll be able to sell them for massive PSR profit.

You’ve just about answered your own question. If the ‘head choppers’ go aggressively down the legal route it’ll only stir up even more sh*t around the club, PIF and the sports washing debate.

PIF aren’t stupid and they aren’t meek. I think they’re keeping their powder dry snd playing the long game.

Sounds like you are the kind of guy that compares themselves with other people.
Villais currently owned by V Sports, a company owned by the Egyptian billionaire Nassef Sawiris, the American billionaire Wes Edens, and American investment company Atairos.

Ya man Nassef Sawiris - Egyptian billionaire Nassef Sawiris handed three years prison sentence.

So you're saying you'd rather have a fraudster running the club rather than one of the UK government's closest Middle East Political and strategic allies owning the club?

Dunno about you mate but I prefer to be associated people who uphold the laws of their country, however they see fit, rather than fraudulent crooks. You do you though mate.

'On Par with Pardew and Carr?' really did those teams qualify for the Champions League? Must have missed that!
Did the whole fan base, city and global NUFC fan base have hope and optimism for the future during those days? Absolutely not.

I gotta call BS BS lads, Pardew fluked a 1 season success and Carr... WHAT? haha absolute nonsense.

It appears that you're incapable of comprehending how aggressive the financial sanctions the Red Frauds have brought in to block City & more recently us from being taking over.

It's stupidity to whine about our current situation the facts are before PiF the whole club was in decline and decay. A Rusty leaking stadium, dead pigeons and rats on the concourses dirty windows because they were too cheap to even get some lad in to wipe a rag across the glass.

If ya know, ya know. If you've never been to SJP before and since ya won't. If ya visited the city and felt the vibes you know it's absolutely night and day.

I've gone over the situation financially so many times it's boring now. Villa has revenue for days due to their owners selling players and having genuine advertising revenue whilst Newcastle United had Ashley's freebies. ZERO IN THE BOOKS = ZERO ABILITY TO SPEND.

PSR are restricting the clubs abilities to sign competitive commercial deals. More has been written about this subject than Moses rocking up with 2 stones and a chisel ffs.

If you don't like it, https://shop.avfc.co.uk/en/aston-vil...799-4025465990 Here's the Villa club shop get yourself your new club shirt Phoney.

https://boards.footymad.net/forumdisplay.php?f=2699 - here's the Footymad Villa Board. Jog on son.

A more polite way of putting it.

Football is a different gravy now whether we like it or not.
Ashley was only interested in a business model without any daring to gain any foothold on any league position higher than the skimming of mid-table and the avoidance of relegation.

What we have now is a case of being spoilt a little bit even with the restrictions imposed upon us.
The choice is PIF all day long and any day long.
