Marvellous, a real positive.
New contract sonfirmed.
"I just think the club’s in a great place. Since the takeover it’s just been up and up.
"Me and the gaffer are a perfect match in terms of style of play. I love it here. I’m very happy here, I like living here, the team is very suited to me – and I’m here to win a trophy. The short story is we need to win a trophy.
"Winning a trophy here would be unbelievable because the fans have waited so long. To be part of that team who finally does it is a massive goal of mine.
"We (my family and I) have always felt settled because Geordies are so easy-going and so welcoming, very easy to speak to and always want the best for you. It’s a very easy place to come and live, I think. I feel very connected to everyone – team-mates, fans and everyone involved."
Gordon was joined by an ecstatic Eddie Howe on announcement day, and the head coach said: "I’m delighted Anthony has committed his future to the club. He has grown as a player and as a person during his time at Newcastle United and he has continued to prove just how good he is on the biggest stage.
Great news.
Marvellous, a real positive.
Def great news.
Hopefully he we now get the Gordon of last season now this is sorted all officially.
Excellent news indeed. Here is a couple of video clips of Anthony talking about the club and also dabbing up his team mates.
Again, it's a reality check to all those who get wound up by lies and BS in the press. It's all fiction, made up to pi$$ the fans of and try to cause division.
Don't believe the hype!

certainly doesn't sound like a lad that 'had his head turned'.
Sounds like the whole process was the pressure and distraction rather than the prospect of leaving to go to the bindips.
You can’t get interview comments from a player any better than those!
The two main things about Anthony Gordon is the way that right from the start he has appreciated, both by the fans here and the local population about the way he has been accepted as opposed to how he was treated by his own fans and local supporters of his own home town club. It must have been really hard for him at that time and the other point is his determination to repay that loyalty in return.
Notice the way he pointed out how pleased he was that his youngster was born here to show he was proud to have a true born Geordie in his family.
