    St Mirren (H) Match Thread

Another tough match and another proverbial 6 pointer. Hopefully we can play with a bit of confidence and get a decent performance over 90 minutes. It will be interesting if any of the injured boys come straight back in or if they are going to have to wait their turn.

12 points ahead of bottom place.
11 points ahead of playoff place
5 points gap to bottom 6

This has been a great start to the campaign. It's still a very tight league though so we just need to keep full concentration and maximum effort on the next game.
Probably a few tired legs yesterday but fortunately no midweek game to worry about.
Sibbaldi apart, hopefully all our injuries clear up as we move into December because we're going to need all the fit players we can muster over that busy festive period. That includes you Doc.

Tough game, they are all tough games, but next two home games could be key to determining what end of the table we are competing at. We need bit of a buffer zone for that glut of Xmas fixtures which looks tough, 21 PTS in three weeks to play for could see quite a few teams overtake us if we hit barren spell. We also need a full squad, too much to ask same players, squad looks bit light at times due to recurring injuries.

Does anyone actually know what Docherty's injury is? Has it been mentioned anywhere?

Or is it like last season where he's out injured, still couple of weeks away, next week still a couple of weeks away. Next week still a couple of weeks away, no - Friday night he's suddenly in the starting line up for the the Saturday, plays for an hour and seems fine, then out injured again the next week?

He was on the commentary on DUTV for the Rangers match, said it was a niggle in his existing calf muscle injury.

Tough one for a few reasons, them being full strength just now and the form team over the last 4 games outside Celtic, the fact they can leap us albeit playing a game more and not many teams will beat a Robinson side 3 times in quick succession so he'll be drumming that into them not to let that happen after the recent wins for us

However if we can get the same type of effort and quality we got in the last home game, we can definitely pull off a win

If I was to predict a result would be a draw though

We've got there number because we've countered their physicality and then been the the better football team, do the same again and we win.

IIRC correctly just thinking about the physical match up, we played Holt in front of the back 3, we kept clean sheets in both victories against them.
