How many players can we bring in,in the January window.

Do we trust S/E to bring in the right players & at what cost.

We need to see an improvement in performance levels from Feb onwards - or we could be flirting with L2

Someone who can pass a ball?
    Someone with pace?
Someone who can cross a ball?
Someone who can hit the target (back of the net) and score goals?
No pressure then to find such a player/s.
The above type of players do exist at a price.
It's up to the recruitment team to carry out due diligence checks before dishing out contracts to any players including journeymen.

the starting question is who is leaving and is that for money or will it cost us money to get rid (Hugill)
The second question is do we have the same budget as August or is it being increased? remember the August budget wasn't big enough to fill the squad, and you can believe Evans BS about not wanting to take players due to money if you want, but Evans has never shown himself to be a manager that refuses to recruit. We are seeing that now, things are bad and his first solution is spend, spend and spend.
I genuinely think that Haks dip in form is directly related to his contract fiasco, it makes sense that it dragging on like it has is impacting him. So I wouldn't be surprised if he decides to leave and we will get bugger all for him. I think Humphries is mentally elsewhere and if Hugills agent can find him another sucker to give him a long contract he will be off (Yippee). If we are after money and someone offers anything above ?100k we will sell Tiehi and Nombe as well, let us not forget we have the transfer deal geniuses RS and PD. So I expect 3 or 4 departures with 5 coming in.
We need a CF and we need to get Osong fit and give him a real go as understudy for JCH, we have him for the season so use him. We still need cover for right back, Haks is no right back. In my opinion we need a real No10, another central midfield box to box player to complement Kelly and a better 1st team coach (Get shut of Raynor, shake Evans up)

Humphreys Hugill offload. Osong send back. Summer release Kelly Mcdonald more Phillips cause he'll be out of contract need a more reliable keeper than Dawson. January bring a player in who can cover right back. A midfielder then move Odoffin to his best position centre back. A big forward needed also. All signings not past their best.

Who of any real quality with the options of other clubs will want to come any way? Unless theres loadsa money on offer which lets face it , TS might not just wanna risk after previous crocks.

Its gunna take some real motivator and dont think we've got one !!

........and that absolutely nails it Stansmate.
We are the football equivalent of a market stall offering shoddy goods so the number of regular customers is declining and we don't have enough money to improve things.
Added to that the owner is losing interest and the guy running the stall just turns people off because he's out of touch with reality and nobody is listening any more no matter how loud he shouts and waves his arms about.
All talk of rebuilding or strengthening in January is just wishful thinking because who, of any quality, will want to join this sh!t show?

I suspect the logic is already with the board on this, but offload anyone with a bit of value and hold off for the summer to then look at getting something like a meaningful squad together for next season. This one is gone, and any sticking plasters on things now won't necessarily help longer term.
