Grab yourself a drink, sit back and relax while watching this.

Give us your thoughts after viewing the ''gaffer's'' latest interview during the International break.

    It's about 25 minutes long.

Nice reverse switch to my question pal but, i'll answer you

He's open, didn't shirk any question put to him by Sam. I did think though Sam wasn't heavy enough, if that's a description, on asking Steve why his tactics have been so poor in some games and how he won't use his wing play when evidence showed us, we play much better when we use them.

His comparison on Man City and us, don't laugh, is a good one. Lose four key players who are supposedly your big players and it will hurt you. Look at City and how they're under performing with big names missing, however, that's where it differs to us. Our fault and maybe Steve's fault along with Tony Stewart, is that they didn't recruit enough bodies at the start of the season. Tony probably thought having received feedback from Steve, that we will be okay to run with a squad three players light, wrong!

His reference to Stevenage, their Chairman and staff, wasn't called for. It's okay for him to reflect in private on his past achievements if that's where he wants to go to bull himself up but, we as Millers don't want to hear of his past success. We want to hear him talking of nothing but RUFC and how he's going to fix the mess we are in.

I get where he's coming from asking for more weeks to hopefully have the full use of his squad and then he'll go about turning things around. Yes it must be difficult but more recuitment may have covered his shortfall in players such as now.

He also needs to take bigger responsibility for both his and Raynor's profile and reign some of the aggression in. Probably plenty more i could add but over to you to say what you thought pal.

He speaks eloquently and I think he genuinely loves the club. But it's clear he has been stunned by the backlash from fans and is now worried he could be on borrowed time. His main excuse is big players missing. To me it's an unforgivable lack of aggression from the players and predictable tactics. Will he change this in time to save his job. I hope so. Utm

I genuinely want him to get all the players back and give it a good go. What's the point in going for our 4th Manager in 2 years, we'll be getting like Watford!

It is the same SE that you always get
    1. I love the club
    2. Look how good I have been in the past
    3. look at others, they aren't doing well either (he will use the name of any team that fits the description)
    4. It isn't my fault - Followed by this weeks excuses

The missing key players annoys me, according to Evans himself the squad size we have was his final decision, not the boards. Therefore the outcome of those decisions Steve is when you get an injury your squad is light. In the Kelly interview he states that during a season ALL teams suffer injuries. So being that Evans is so highly successful with massive experience why did he decide to go into the season light?
Also Evans often states "any team would have a Raggett a Clark-Harris" correct, however football is played with 11 players not two and successful teams have a squad that is appropriate for the position they are in, we do not and you made that decision Steve.

The factors that have us 17th (4 points off relegation, with two teams below with a game in hand that if they win move above us0, are:
    1. Leak too many goals (no keeper that comes for crosses)
    2. No CF available when JCH is injured
    3. Set pieces at both ends
    4. Poor use of width resulting in big boot to a CF that isn't there.

The CF issue is a huge screw up, he relied on Hugill being a good L1 player, he has been a joke since he came. He has had a handful of decent games in nearly 2 seasons. We brought in a young well thought of CF in Osong, it should have been JCH starting with Osong as cover. When you take these young lads from premier league clubs they have to be given game time and some consistent treatment to bed them in, that requires good management. It should have been made clear to Hugill before he decided not to invoke his release clause that he would be 3rd choice and that he wouldn't get a lot of game time. Then that would have made him think about whether he wants to play or gather money. It is like the lad at FB from Sheff Utd last season, hardly played even though we knew he was very well thought off, now he is first choice at the top of the championship. As a club we are awful at managing young players on loan, this is a great source of talent and ability that Rotherham United fail to maximise, there are also a lot less limits on under 21 players in your squad.

Evans is targeting 3 wins in 5 games (advertiser article), the interviewers should be asking What is going to change to achieve that Steve when you have 4 wins from 15?

Seemed to keep repeating a mantra that we had some good spells in a few games and that we need to have more of them.

With apologies to the Fawlty Towers script writers ?Can?t we get you on Mastermind, Steve? Next contestant, Mr Steve Evans from Rotherham. Special subject: the bleeding obvious?

It?s what I find irritating about him when he speaks in interviews. He has the faux-grave tone and self-important delivery and says little of any merit.

Yes, good in spells. Tell us what you?re going to do about making it happen for longer periods. Everything else is just blather?

He got his 'excuses' into the first two minutes. But no mention of his responsibility for creating the hype of expectation.
