I’m reminded that the 3rd round away to Bournemouth in 1999 featured Sneekes, Kilbane, Enzo Maresca, Graham Potter and Lee Hughes?to name a few of ours.
Eddie Hughes scored their only goal of the match.

Eddie Howe got the winner 😉.

I was stood on the terraces in the wind, rain and hail that day after having queued outside for what seemed like an eternity as Bournemouth took the executive decision NOT to sell tickets in advance making it pay on the gate.

There were what seemed like thousands of us with queues stretching around the car park and ground. Three of us travelled down in the car that day. Two of us went back to the car to get a bag of beers to keep us fully hydrated for the game ahead.

Couldn't believe just how ineffective we were on the day. Eddie Howe seemed to have Lee Hughes in his back pocket before going on to score the winner. Long journey there and back, poor game but a great away day in good company.

Bit of a meh draw in all honesty this time around though although I dare say I'll be there with my lad. Can't see the wife wanting to make the journey. Silver lining in every cloud 😃.
