    Match Ratings vs Walsall

Bass - 5.5 Some wayward passing and some shaky moments. First poor game. No big stress. Will win us far more points than he will ever cost us.

Macari - 6 - Typical Macari performance; did well to win the pen.

Ness - 6 - Good player. Defended well. Didnt think we missed Platt which is a big compliment.

Bedeau - 7 - Best of the back three. Got forward really well, more so in the first half.

Cisse - 5.5 - Was well marshalled. Looked a bit lightweight but thats to be expected. Didnt look lost, just small. Some nice touches.

Tsaroulla - 6 - Did his best despite getting doubled/tripled up on as soon as he got near their box. Would not mind seeing him play on the left and forge a partnership with Bedeau.

Palmer - 7 - Very good in all he did. When Hinchy plays, Id like to see him be the one who pushes on a bit more; think he has a lot of quality the top end of the pitch could benefit from.

Hinchy - 6.5 - Played pretty well. Grew into it and was part of plenty of good ball retention and recycling. Great goal. Lovely strike.

Austin - 5 - Poor tonight. Looked off the pace and too easily pushed off the ball. Big fan of Austin, but not his best outing.

McGodlrick - 7.5 - MOTM - Still a quality operator. Constantly trying to make something happen. Love the bloke.

Jatta - 6.5 - Starved of service again. His link up play has come on leaps and bounds. Do not see him being here for too long before someone snaps him up.

Gordon - 5.5 - No better or worse than Cisse. Frustrating.

Scott - 5.5 - A couple of nice touches but generally the game passed him by. If he is going to play centrally, he needs to play up front.

Mine would be very close to that, practically the same. Didzy just edging MoM over Palmer and then Bedeau.

On the comments, Hinchy 'grew into it', yeah in the last 15mins. Too late. Pleased for him that he netted his first for the club.

SA 'poor' you say. For me 5/10 is below average. 4/10 is poor.

Bass - 3 He?s been great all season but tonight 2 stinking errors and thats cost us the game
Macari - 7 Doesn?t put a foot wrong and won the pen
Bedeau - 6 A few stray passes again tonight, but first half half no help at all (see later)
Ness - 7 Impressed by this guy
Cisse - 3 Never up to it, lightweight and got bullied all night, gave Bedeau no chance to get forward first half
Tsarroulla - 6 Good effort with last gasp shot but never really in it. Inverted wing backs system working - my arse
Hinchy - 7 Thought he had a good game and a goal
Palmer - 6 Needs more creativity around him, does what it says on the tin
McGoldrick - 7 Unlucky all night really, good touches and effective but had to play far too deep
Austin - 5 No pace, didn?t get in it at all
Jetta - 5 Left exposed far too much, McGoldrick was too deep and our supposed number 10?s were no where near him

    Subs
Gordon - 6 Did ok as he did on sat, but he ain?t no Nemane
Scott - 5 Didn?t get involved, a loan move must beckon

Overall - too slow first half, better early parts of second half and could easily been ahead before Bass?s first clanger.
    Jan cant come quick enough
Crawley and Jones cant come quick enough
    OR
Maynard departure cant come quick enough - you decide

good to see palmer's numbers coming up

I think LeftPeg’s ratings are fair. Whilst both Bass and Cisse performed below the level of which they are both capable, neither were as bad as a 3.

Agree with LegPeg?s ratings in general but would amend Austin to 4.5 as he added nothing and taking age and inexperience out of it Cisse a 4. Don?t beat his man once or utilise his pace expect one importance defensive intervention. Defensively don?t stop the cross. So although neat, lightweight and ineffective both ways.

Those are spot on. Cissi is never going to be a pro footballer, he is too small and too lightweight and falls over with a waft of a feather. Maynard talks a load of rubbish about us being not being predictable, well i dont know what planet he is on, but thats exactly what we are..
It looks as though Bass his being given coaching by Slocombe on his goal kicks.. That tactic that needs to stop, it is costing us points.
Maynard and his management team are out of their depth and need to be got rid of before the annual slide towards the bottom gets in full swing..

Okay, so done my own google search. It appears Cisse hasn't played any non-league football. That's what it looked like. Unless you're an exceptional talent, how can you expect to do a job at the likes of Wallsall without having some experience battling with men? Bad management.
