    Alex v The Banthams Forecast

My forecast is wet and windy. No seriously, all I can see in these conditions is an extremely scrappy game with a 1-1 outcome. Lankaster to notch another.

Change in Ref for this game. New ref is Ben Toner, who last reffed us at Wembley against Crawley. No VAR today

Seems a very low turnout looking at the telly. Unable to make it myself.

In the end only the weather and the referee ended up winners.
How that game produced 9 yellows, I'll never know. Glad I wasn't well enough to go.

From memory I thought that the Wembley game was reffed pretty well. Today I thought that he was awful and that's being kind to him.

The game should have been cancelled, travelling in was difficult & potentially very dangerous.
Bradford played some good football, but they also cheated....a lot...any 50/50 ball as soon as they knew they might lose it they collapsed in a heap.
I watched one of their players in their penalty area collapse to the ground and hold his head, just to waste time & get a free kick in the last few minutes.
    No one touched him.
They fooled the ref most of the time, I agree he had a bad game.
It's a shame we can't put 10 men to the sword, but the conditions were terrible.

I thought we were playing Bradford today but instead they sent the Olympic diving team.

It should have been called off today because, more than anything. Travelling to the ground, especially for Bradford fans, would not have been without risk to safety. And that should always be the priority. That said, we were fortunate to escape with a point because they were just a bit better than us on the day. However, in decent conditions it could have been a good game. It wasn't and for that reason I am glad I elected to watch it from the comfort of my sofa!

Why was it made a 12.30 kick-off when the match was not on mainstream Sky. No pundits, no build-up. And which part of Bradford did the commentator come from?
Added to that, on Sky Sports News the presenter at half-time said," ...and now across to Bradford where the Bantams....". Don't they think their channels have reached S.Cheshire (or indeed, Manchester, where I was watching it)?

3.00 kick offs are not allowed to be broadcast in the UK when there are Premiership matches going on.
