Swans v QPR 26 Dec Boxing Day 15:00
Christmas is upon us once more, a time of celebration and good cheer.
Swans fans though are demoralised and still in shock after the start of the holiday season block of games couldn’t have got off to a worse start. Still smarting from the second-half collapse at home to high flyers Sunderland, where we threw away a 2-0 lead, little did we know there was worse to come.
Last Saturday we travelled to bottom of the table Hull, who hadn’t won for 13 games, and proceeded to put on a totally inept performance that was an embarrassment to our club and fans, gifting two goals and an unlikely win to Hull, who couldn’t believe their luck.
Moving on to the next match we are home to QPR. What an irony then, that after playing the worst team in the Championship we play the in-form team of the division. Fresh from their 2-1 win at home to Preston and seven games unbeaten, confidence will be high that they can continue Swansea’s misery and return to the capital with the three points.
With such a weak squad and an intense playing schedule we can only hope that the players selected for this next game at least put in the effort, something that was badly missing at Hull.
