Question Help required for sentimental gift for best mate

    Hello,

This may all seem a little random but I need your help if at all possible.

My best mate is a massive Aston Villa fan, and his first born child was born on 27/08/19. On that day, Villa played Crewe in the league cup at Crewe, so I have been looking into the possibility of getting him a programme from the game as an (albeit now) late Christmas present.

I have already looked on ebay and some other programme websites that my Dad frequents and there is nothing available, so my one hope now is that someone who was there that day would be able to sell me a copy. Is there anyone on here who would be willing to do this? I know the chances are slim but I have to try.

Thanks for reading, and please let me know if you would be willing to do this, or even if you know someone else who may be willing to.

    Cheers,
    Leigh

I was there and probably have a programme, but heavily annotated (all the Villa goals! - plus substitutions) which I guess is not what you have in mind. I remember Jack Grealish looked exceptional when he came on as a sub.

Have you tried the programme shop at Gresty Road to see if they still have copies?

I haven't no, is it separate to the club shop?

Yes, alongside the ground but nothing to do with the club shop - they have 100s of programmes, but i don't have contact details I'm afraid. Anyone else?

Thanks Alex, I have found an email address for someone who at the very least used to help out at the shop so I will contact him and ask. I'll also contact the club shop as well on the off chance that they may be able to help.

Any other help is still appreciated, I'm trying all angles.

Shop may at least have contact details for programme shop - it's just across the way, though only open match days: e.g. tomorrow night.

I've actually had a response from him already, so he's going to see if they have anything. I appreciate the help.
