Thread: Have we money to spend or not?

Have we money to spend or not?

Can we spend in January or not? What about the money we got for Anderson and Minteh? We should sell Almiron to the Saudi pro league for 60m the premier league said last season it will be ok to do that. I?ll be disappointed is we don?t strengthen in January.

We'll all be disappointed if we don't strengthen in Jan i think.

I think we also do have money, we were clearly bidding for Guehi.

its not a case of if we dont strengthen,we simply HAVE to, a big test of Mitchells capabilities. I was wondering how eddie would react if Mitchell signs a player Eddie didnt want, who chooses the players? surely it has to be the manager, and Mitchells job is to finalise the deals. Or do they discuss potential targets, come to an agreement that they both accept, and then Mitchell takes over? What we dont want is a power struggle between the pair of em,coz we would lose the manager.

In terms of what we can spend, I was reading that the Guehi deal was 'front-loaded' which is something to do with a kind of buy now but need to sell later type deal.

PSR has fucked us over massively-as it was intended to do.

Makes you wonder what the fucking point is.

I can accept not winning anything in my lifetime because we've been shit or unlucky or other teams have been better...but to be denied the chance to even compete...with the rules being actually changed to take account of our takeover...and for it to all be legal and rubber-stamped??

Does make you think fuck it..

At least with Ashworth out, that new manager won?t be Southgate

Our only path to glory is through a top manager/coaching team and buying/developing young players.

This is true TopToon. It will come but because of the biased rules it will take time.

The last team that did that is?

Im not following Spurs too close, but they did have big money sales (Modric, Bale), CL few times in a row? why they didnt make it to the next level? Jokes aside of Spurs being Spurs. Is it that Levy is happy with the status quo? Or their stadium drained the mobey out?

Think you?re right about the stadium there.

Saw Arsenal drop off after their new build too.

But like Arsenal, Spurs stadium will eventually pay itself off and give them a big boost.

Craig Hope is saying we have to sell to buy how the fu(k we had 65 million to buy Guehi in the summer. This can?t keep going on when Man Utd can pay 100m for players and pay them 300k it?s simply not fair.
