    Federico Chiesa

I hear Chiesa has gone from Juve to Liverpool for the paltry sum of £12.5 Million

And we were desperate for a classy right winger.

We are, we are... but he's (apparently) very inconsistent and on around £200 thousand a week.

He's also just come back from an 18 month ACL injury.

Not sure that is a risk we'd be willing to take at this point.

Maybe he didn’t want to come to us? Maybe he wants European football? Maybe people are too quick to criticize Mitchell?

I heard the agent wanted something insane in terms of a fee. Something like £5m. The wage mentioned was supposed to be massive too. More than Bruno.

Not a player that would have worked out as good value with his record of injuries.

The club has submitted an offer for Ferran Torres at the start of July. Barcelona are doing all their business before they release/sell players surplus to requirement.

Word is that Torres is not in the first team plans and over pre-season that has been made clear to the player. He's aware of Newcastle's interest and is open to a move.

Whether any this comes to fruition before the 1st remains to be seen but head to head, Chiesa is cleaning Torres the boots, IMO.

Tbh, I'm not sure any of us realise the full extent of how PSR is affecting us, not least because of the players we can't shift who are on huge wages.

This is true. As I keep saying, Ashley’s legacy is still with us with these players and the club’s relatively low turnover.

    Agreed Zip.

We had ****e to shift that we couldn't that ****e on high wages and then we also had nothing in the academy we could see (prior to Anderson) that would have raised significant funds - can't count Miley because nobody saw that coming how great he would be.
