    Competition for our Darnell

West Brom are keen to seal a January transfer for out-of-contract Rangers right-back Alfie Devine, according to Alan Nixon.

The Sun journalist reported on his Patreon page (5 January) that with Devine?s deal at Ibrox expiring in the summer, Albion are looking at bringing him to The Hawthorns six months early for a cut-price fee.

Saw yesterday that along with Wallace, Swift, Grady and Dike - Furlong is one of the highest earners too. Imagine what we would save getting these five off the payroll! Imagine if these five players all did one - would we miss them? A big fat No!

Great! Darnell hasnt had a break for three years! About time he had some back up. As to getting rid of Furlong, no chance. First name on the team sheet for us.

Don't think you will find many who would disagree you Al about Wallace as he is clearly past his best and offers little when he comes on. Both Swift and Diangana have skills but both far too inconsistent so I'd agree with you there too. Dike, I feel really sorry for but as I'm sure his injury history will significantly lessen any monies we may recoup in selling him I would still like to see him given a chance (though have heard little about his progress recently?)

As for Furlong, I may not rate him as highly as Boingy and I acknowledge that he still makes some defensive errors but he has greatly improved over the past couple of seasons and has been key in much of our build up play. Don't think we would miss the others but certainly wouldn't want to get rid of Darnell.

I’m OK with keeping Swift, Diangana and Furlong but would certainly get rid of Cole and probably let Wallace leave. I realise that is a little conservative but I feel that Furlong has been fine and that Swift and Diangana have something to offer although agree that neither have come near to their potential.

I’m in that camp essentially, albeit a decent fee for Diangana would turn my head.
I had hoped that Swift would do a Grant and provide some regular performances showing commitment. Sadly not evident so far.
As mentioned elsewhere the wages may play a significant role in the Club’s deliberations.
