    Our Charlie

Doesn't seem to have worked out for Charlie.

Is there something about Charlie ? I think he's a sound full-back, I'd rather have seen him at left-back for England than Kieran Trippier, but Kompany clearly didn't rate him, Russell Martin wouldn't play him at Southampton and now it seems Ivan Juric is happy to let him go.

Not sure why, he seems OK to me, is there something we don't know ?

I presume he signed a 2 year contract at Southampton and will be on 30-40k a week, so unless he gets an EPL club he won't be going anywhere until the summer at the earliest

I always liked Charlie when he played with us,I didn't think he was given the opportunity to play much in the Premier league under Vinny and could understand him wanting to be away.He certainly knew how to deliver a cross into the centre when attacking. Good left full back.

His biggest weakness was his poor quality delivery into the box. He could take men on, bomb on, but his end product let him down

With Bashley coming back, could we see Charlie back with us? I am not sure that Cardy is overwhelmed by Pires, preferring to play Humphry’s out of position.
