Romared Match Thoughts Bristol Rovers v Barnsley

Whether the 10 days off have taken the wind out of our sails is something we don't know until 5 PM Tomorrow Evening , it happens when you are on a good spell of form .

The other side to that is that niggles picked up over the festive period will have left some of the players and they will be raring to go .

As ever this season I couldn't make a solid case for either scenario such is the topsy turvy nature of it .

Very true Animal. This fixture hasn't been too kind to us in our last 3 visits either. Here's hoping we can get the job done

A bit of what we did to them in season '92, when we won 1-5, would do very nicely of course. 😁
I think that was at Twerton park though, when Bristol were sharing with Bath Fc.
I'm not looking for 'revenge' by the way, after our recent Fa cup exit. That defeat was totally our own fault on the day.
Any sort of win tomorrow, would be good.

    Todays Line UP:

Reds: Killip (GK), Russell, Roberts, de Gevigney, O'Keeffe, Phillips, Gent, Earl, Watters, Keillor-Dunn, Connell (c)

Subs: Pines, Cosgrove, Lofthouse, McCarthy, Farrugia, Humphrys, Nwakali.

Two changes from Crawley. Marc Roberts and Luca Connell return in place of Donovan Pines and Kelechi Nwakali. New signing Neil Farrugia is on the bench, while there is no goalkeeper among the subs.

Arguably our strongest starting XI but no keeper on pur bench seems insane with the amount of subs allowed these days.

What does Nwakali have to do to get a start?

Looks a strong squad we have now but a keeper should definitely be on the bench, in my opinion.

Watters is like a rabbit in the headlights when he gets 1 on 1 with the keeper, he never tries to lift it over he just shoots and hopes! We look a much better side with Nwakali in the side and Roberts is being done for pace by Odonkwo!
End to end game but we should be 3-1 up.
If we are looking for a keeper signing theirs wouldn't be a bad shout?

He?s pulled some good saves off but the disallowed goal he should?ve thrown his cap on it?

Really strange half as we could?ve gone in 3/4-1 up and I don?t think anyone could argue.

Watters has good movement off the ball but the chances he?s missed today is costing us so far.

Can?t work out if both teams look good going forward or poor defensively.

I still think we will win this.
