    Festive fixtures 24/25

Notwithstanding whatever happens on Thu, I don’t know about the rest of ye’s but I’ve found this year to be one of the most enjoyable Xmas/New Year periods for many, many a day. Yes results always help but starting with Celtic on the 22nd having then only had to travel to Perth, then the Sheepies, then the Fun 100 yards up the road it’s really felt like good times, top banter, great crowds and possible a shandy or ten along the way with the games coming thick and fast. And now I’ve got to somehow survive Hospo on Thu. After some horrific times the last few years it’s great to be really enjoying things right now. WASC.

Can we now officially say that’s the festive fixtures over? Wow, what a return with some seriously difficult games in there. We entered it in 4th with the usual Champions to be at Tannadice and let’s face it we were dreading it. We’ve come out of it 20 days later, having played 6 games in that short time with 4 wins and in 3rd place. It’s really had it all with great moments, great support and felt like great times considering we were spending last Xmas being ‘entertained’ in the infamous 0-0 at Hampden and first footing phucking Arbroath. How times have changed.

Enjoy your break lads, by God you’ve earned it.

Now though we go from a congested period of playing 10 league games since the start of Dec to having 10 league games left between now and mid April (then another week before the 5 post split games)

There are 2-3 gaps where there will be a fortnight between league games

Another reason for trying to progress in cup, to fill these

Well done to Jim Goodwin, the players, and not forgetting the background staff and coaches for the very good results over the busy festive season. to still be in 3rd place is absolutely amazing. The United support was also magnificent, as we savoured these wins after some of the lows of the past few seasons.
Onwards with Jim Goodwin Tangerine Army.

I know im guilty of having a right good fecking moan over the last few(8?) years, but i believe i have been justified in doing that through some horrible times! Through those times i have tried to keep a balanced look at where we are in the league in relation to safety, and i really need to reign myself in or i will end up tempting fate for what i think is near!

But thanks to the spacing of the fixtures, i will just have to keep biting ma nails for a wee while longer!
