    Oddyseas Vlachodimos

    Our greek GK.

Just read that his transfer was 20mln.
    Wtf?!
We sold Anderson for 35 to them, does it make it 15 + GK?
The only way it makes sense to me is that we needed 35 and agreed on 15+GK deal for Anderson. So we got 35 from Forest the last day of june, then wired 20 mln back to Forest the next day.

But come on, surely we could have get the better deal somewhere?

And he didn’t even make the bench against Southampton!

Its a weird one he is a decent keeper so for him not to even be back up to Pope on saturday is strange, been reading he is going to go out on loan what was the point in signing him

It sounds a lot like, you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours from a PSR perspective. Both Forest and ourselves were in danger of a 10 point deduction if we didn't hit PSR. We sold Anderson for 35 and bought Oddy for 20. We both get to report earinings and hot our PSR threshold.

I still think he should come in as our #2 at some point. Dubrabka has to go and Oddy was apparently really good when at Benfica.

    This.

And also the fact that de-facto we sold Anderson for 15+back up GK, and not 35m quoted

I think he'll end up as number 2 to be honest. We're clearly expecting to lose Dubs.

I think this story about us wanting to loan him out, is to drum up interest in Dubs - if we loan him out, we'll not want to sell Dubs is what we'll argue, so if you want to buy Dubs, you better get an offer in so we don't loan him out.

I find this situation with the GKs very strange. Seems like there is no real plan... to me at least.

The OV signing was purely because of PSR. He could’ve been a wicket keeper and the deal would still have gone through to escape the points deduction.
Ruddy was signed as an experienced head because Trips is going (IMO!!!) and possible (Ragatino’s supposition) to help train/guide a young keeper(s) coming in.
