So...who out of this lot are we finishing ahead of?

    Liverpool
    Man City
    Chelsea
    Forest
    Arsenal

And that's before you factor in Bournemouth, Villa and Brighton.

5th as a minimum is the only way we'll keep our big players which means not only do we need to keep ahead of the chasing pack, we need one of the teams above us to falter.

Chelsea might although I think they've had their dodgy period or are just coming out of it; ditto Man City. The most likely is Forest but they're not showing any signs at the minute.

And this thread isn't a knee-jerk reaction to one defeat in 10-that would be ridiculous. All season I've been wondering, game by game, which Newcastle United would show up and, in fact, who the real Newcastle United actually are. I happen to think that the team who won at Arsenal are the closest to the 'real' us but, whilst even the best runs have to come to an end, the manner of the defeat on Saturday (coupled with some of the awful perfprmances earlier in the season) has me very worried. Defeats happen, but to be so comprehensively outplayed-and out-managed-well it's set alarm bells ringing for me.

Apologies for the negativity. We will hopefully prove me to be a bed-wetter but the fact we've clearly got that sort of performance in our locker...

Forest are def the best bet.

I don't think City will lose again between now and end of the season personally.

Chelsea have had their bump and will do enough to hold on.

LiVARpool, I suspect will now win the title.

Arsenal. . . we could get the hilarious situation where they fall apart but they won't.

As you've said Forest are best chance but it feels unlikely - however, we wouldn't have said City would go on the ****e run they went on. It is easily possible - couple of injuries, faulter in confidence. . .

If we win a trophy and get Europe I think we'll hold on to our big players as it shows progress.

I think we will catch Forest.

We have a few tricky fixtures coming up, away to Citeh, home to Forest, away to Liverpool but given our latest run, we should be quietly

    confident of getting points.

Forest have a horrendous run of fixtures that could shatter their european ambitions or seal them,

Bournemouth, Brighton, Fulham, Newcastle, Arsenal, Citeh, Man Utd, Villa

Arsenal don't usually get through a season without having a serious blip and if we can give them a tonking in our cup return match next month, then that will give their confidence a bit of a knocking.

I think they could be catchable.

The only one we could pass is Forest, and they don?t look like slipping up yet but I think they will. If we strengthen in Jan then we could possibly get 5 th if no signings then 6 th / 7 th

Think it's still possible to finish above Chelsea and Forest. I'll eat my hat if we finish above City.
