    Kes (no not him)...

I've loved nature, animals and especially birds since I was a young lad and have a sulphur crested c.ockatoo who goes everywhere with me called Coco, now I can remember exactly when this interest started and it was with a film called Kes about a boy and the Kestrel that he reared, what a great film this is I thought as I watched but then something catastrophic happened, the kestrel was killed and dumped in a dustbin, the scene when it was found almost brought me to tears much to my sister's delight and has laughed about it ever since,I've never been able to watch the film since but I've noticed that it's back on TV on Saturday, should I watch it again after 50 years or should I just leave it as a bad memory? More to the point what's your interest or hobby and how did you get into it (football excluded)

Real men cry, Chalky, it’s what makes us human. We don’t cry as much as women though, and I bet your sister has cried just as often, if not more than you. Watch, weep and don’t be ashamed.

I remember Kes from being a kid.. it’s an all time classic…

It’s a deeper film than the Kestrel & should be left in my opinion in the past. I would not watch it if it was on…

Are there any films about cheating Magpies who fly on the back of others successes whilst calls for VAR are being ignored? 😎

VAR is for Premier League only.

    Definitely watch Kes again Chalky.

    It is a great film.

Anything by Ken Loach is normally good value.

You know what,I can't do it,like bd says it's probably got darker undercurrents than you think,I don't even know how it ended because i couldn't watch it until the end,I once heard somebody say that they once read a book that was so heartbreaking they could never bring themselves to read it again and I know what they mean
