    Guest & Chrimes

    Now the club's chairman, Tony Stewart, and vice-chairman, Richard Stewart, have submitted a planning application for a new hotel development on the prominent site which is alongside the AESSEAL New York Stadium.

    Some interesting photos in there thanks for posting it.

    One thing that stands out are the shots of Don Street where there's not one railing at the side of the River Don!

    Stewart once said that RUFC is his hobby. He is finding a new one.

    Quite why anyone would build a hotel there is beyond me. Personally, I think he has lost the plot. Travel lodge it may not be, but seriously, where is the attraction to stay? Does he think he can take what little trade actually goes there now away from the TL?

    No doubt a bit of luxury will lure, but the inflated prices TS will charge is a high risk, (lets face it, our prices for watching the dross football being served up is inflated)

    The area is even less attracive than the TL. Barely enough lighting on Don Street.

    Match days will be fun whilst it’s being built. I wonder how it will affect the exist strategy….oh, I forgot, by then there won’t be many to Shepard at this rate.

    Plenty of guests for hotels in Rotherham.
