Decent performance after Burton- no easy games in this league should restore some belief ready for what will be a very tough game on Saturday
A nice bounce back from Saturday's disappointment and despite a very quiet Match Thread, by all accounts some nice football in spells. When was the last time we did the double over two teams in one season? On to the 'big game' on Saturday with at least a win under our belts.
Thoughts?

Scrappy game, average first half by both teams with no shots on goal by us. Good call by Evans taking MacDonald off as their midfielders were just too big for him to deal with, and out wide, where he hardly one a header, not his fault though so no backlash on Macca.
I will say on our second goal, Wilks was way offside when he took control of the ball. The Assistant must have been 10 yards behind play so couldn't call it but all around us we were laughing asking just how far Wilks was offside. Brilliant lay off to Odoffin though and what a finish by Haks. Happy times once again
A win is a win so we'll take it but it wasn't an enthralling game at all for those in attendance.
Awful first half, much improved 2nd half. Half expected the worse when there player strolled past jules and raggett to smash the ball in to put them 0-1 up. 3 points is 3 points as we outplayed them after that. Blatant shirt pulling from there team that went unpenalised.
I've said before that Haks is my first name on the team sheet and he again repaid my faith tonight. He made that winner look easier than it was.
We started as we left off at Burton in sleepy mode and literally too short in midfield. I'm glad Mr Evans followed my suggestion and put Haks in there!
Much better in second half. If we're on the front foot the opposition are on the back foot. Simple.
Powell, another favourite of mine, woke up in the second half. And Raggett made a good contribution.
On a negative note, our goalkeepers make me nervous. Sorry but that's how I see it.
Anyway in the second half I think we fielded the best line up we have. Good luck to the lads at Brum and I hope Mr Evans doesn't repeat the mistake of bigging up the opposition before the game. It's just not necessary
It was a pretty drab first half with very few chances. The second half was much better to watch and I was thinking that it wasn't going to be our day when Cambridge took the lead, but to our credit we dug in and instead of our heads going down we actually played some good stuff with the reward being a couple of well worked goals. We could've scored a couple more goals but in the end it was a comfortable win. There was a number of good performances tonight, namely the two goalscorers and the new lad Sibley. I just wish he was ours to keep.

I suppose 3 points is what matters but the standard at this level is awful and generally devoid of quality. I'm struggling to whip up any enthusiasm to watch dire football.
Fk sake 3pts and still moaning. Tossers.
Nez, Oxford put him out on loan so don't see him as up to their standard. Maybe they are looking to offload him at the end of the season?
Surely if he makes a good impression and Oxford do look to release him we will have first dibs, IF Evans is interested. Many IF's pal.
3 points all that matters. Liked Sibley. Better when we moved Odoffin into midfield. For Humphreys in future games. Still need that wide right player & big forward.
