I was going to say, hope Stevenagr win the trophy, but Birmingham just scored against them.
Well there's always the league to concentrate on! Ironically deprived of a possible chance of a Wembley visit by means of a penalty scored by an ex-Miller who once scored a penalty for us at that same venue on one of our best days in living memory. By all accounts it wasn't very good tonight and the writing is perhaps on the wall that this is our new norm.
Thoughts?
I was going to say, hope Stevenagr win the trophy, but Birmingham just scored against them.
Absolutely dreadful.
Nobody particularly covered themselves in glory there, but boy Hughill was poor.
Fair play to Bradford, they brought the atmosphere, the urgency and the desire.
That was so painful to watch. We created nothing against a league 2 side who wanted it more. Some dire individual performances. James.... caught out for the ump****th time this season. He lacks upper body strength and it shows. Hugill barging into people as usual like a drunken elephant. Old butterfingers in goal. Only Humphreys can claim to have played well. No one else showed any composure and it was like watching a pin ball machine. A real shocker
Anticipated performance, no heart, no pace, no leadership, no players ! writing is on the wall, it’s not going to be pleasant, watch this space !
The championship is a million miles away. Nevermind spending money on players, all of us who attended tonight should be given a refund, free pint and pie but most of all an apology.
The club is a shambles from top to bottom and seems like we are following the S****horpe United model. For the owner, if the hobby is over then let it go. The manager is unable to motivate on that performance so let it go. The players, Rafferty excepted on tonight's performance, know the writing is on the wall.
Hugill should never wear the shirt again. As an aside, that is possibly one of the worst refs I have ever witnessed. Mismanagement at all levels means relegation is a distinct possibility. Time for big decisions and a clear forward plan.
Absolute garbage, we made no effort to win that game, learnt nothing from Cheltenham at home. Best team won and although I wanted us to do well in this competition I am glad that TS doesn’t get another Wembley visit as the lack of investment in the squad gets what it deserves, we will start seeing more injured players now as they give up.
They dropped 7 first team players and we had a strong first 11 out there and never looked like winning, the genius of Evan’s has lost to L2 teams in all three cup competitions including two at home, what a record.
People that think we are safe are misguided, we have now lost 3 out of the last 4 and only just beat a bottom 4 club at home in the other game. This squad is three injuries away from a run of defeats that will have us sweating. Ainsworth will have Shrewsbury set up to frustrate, and gamesmanship on Saturday I can see us struggling in that game.
Last point, how disinterested did Green look, a complete lack of effort and Hugill is the worst footballer I have seen at Rotherham in a very very long time, can’t control a ball, fouls constantly when not needed and never goes for a header in the box.
Didn?t go tonight. Can?t remember last time I said that. Absolutely pathetic.
Club is static and stagnating.
Manager wrong man.
TS doesn?t give a ****
Woeful woeful woeful.
That bench WOW.
Have we got a young left back in the reserves? if up to it perfect game home to Shrewsbury to give him his debut. James needs resting after tonight. Game we were hardly in it best out of the competition.
