    Finishing.

Every game where we should have had something from but have lost out seems to be down to one thing.

Poor finishing by not one but most of the players.

We control games and make chance after chance but they are wasted by poor finishing.

It's a thing that is easy practice and become better at. Professionals should become more proficient rather than snatching at chances and booting the ball miles over into the crowd.

Aye, shooting and finishing has been poor.

For me, what's been worse has been our passing. Some of it has been Chimpo standard and Joelinton and Burn have been among the worst offenders. And all of the above have been done too slowly, allowing shots to be blocked or being rushed and possession being lost.

The danger is relying on one or two players for our goals. Other players need to step up sometimes.

    Yep, good point.

Thing is, true quality is as much about what's going on in a player's head as it is how good they are technically.

In the big moments, our players our lacking. Gordon and Isak apart (yes, I know Isak misses at least one very good chance almost every game but that's the nature of the game), our other players who get into good positions are technically capable, I'd argue, but lack that iron focus to almost slow time down and the mentality to make the right choice about power, placement, etc. I've heard loads about how, for example, Joelinton is an incredible finisher in training but that's no good if his finishing turns to shit when it actually matters. See also Bruno, Murphy and Willock.

Good points. Not everyone on the teams going to be a world class finisher but if we can get a good finisher in for Murphy (RW) I think itll make all the difference.
Bruno does do much else and Willock is off form, but we know he can finish well usually.
