I said he'd do for me from the moment Derby's interest was mooted.
Welcome and gerrin there lad.
I'm pleased with the appointment, he's done something positive at the last two clubs he was at, he was a positive contribution when he played for us, he's businesslike in his communication with the outside world. I'm actually not bothered if he's got a basically defence-minded outlook on the game, provided he executes it better than his predecessor, and assesses each and every player from a clean sheet
Anyone?

Welcome and gerrin there lad.
Fingers crossed he can do the business, we really are in need of a "bounce"!
With Pompey winning and Plymouth hammering Millwall and whilst bearing in mind all around us have played one game less he has one tough job ahead of him!
All we can do is hope he can get some results quickly and build momentum because there's no doubt we are a basket case at present.
Personally, I would put our odds at survival at less than 40%!
In the meantime all we can do is wishing him (and the Rams) all the best whilst hoping for a mutually beneficial partnership! 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

A surprise appointment for me, and not one that fills me with awe, but for where we are its a good choice I hope. Im not sure how long its been rumbling on for behind the scenes but its a bold move from JE switching top 6 for bottom 6 at a time when he has just missed the transfer window - although there are a few free agent possibilities kicking around I suppose that he could discuss with "the team"
Great news. onwards and upwards.
A good appointment in my view, evidence that Clowes and the Board make well thought out decisions. I'm convinced that the sale of Cashin, provided the club with the finance to be able to make this change, bot h with regard to paying off Warne and being able to secure Eustace. I note Warne's two coaches are being kept on, sensible, they provide continuity and the club doesn't have to pay out compensation. If they decide to leave if/when Warne secures another job, that's fine.
Fans should (but many won't) be grateful we have an owner with sound business sense who is prepared to back the club within set financial parameters.
Yes its tight at the bottom, but the fact is Derby have to play their way out of trouble, it will come down to the wire I'm sure but there is every chance we will survive and Eustace does have a track record of getting teams in this division out of trouble.
On the upside, Clowes being as savvy as he is, there won't be a lump sum for PW and RB, they'll simply get their monthly wages until such time as they get a new job. They may well have the rest of this season off but you can bet your bottom currency unit they will want to be back in the saddle come August.
