    Matt Hamshaw

One to watch stayed on as Derby caretaker, assisted by Andy Warrington now with John Eustace set to be announced as new Derby manager early next week will he be leaving.
It was interesting to see yesterday that Hamshaw and Warrington changed the Derby tactics and went with a midfield pivot of two, kept the ball on the deck more and abandoned Warnes hoofball.
I know a number on here are clamouring for Warne back once Evans "caretaker" season ends in the summer but I for one would be quite happy to bring Hamshaw in and give him a chance.

I would imagine he'll go with Warne et al when/if he gets another job. A few people are saying that Hamshaw and Warrington are disloyal for staying on after Warne got the push but it doesn't work like that. Derby have sacked Warne and Barker. They haven't sacked the other 2 so if they walked they wouldn't get a pay-off. Very similar to when Taylor left and Wayne Carlisle stayed with us. It is looking like Eustace could be the new manager. Why would he leave Blackburn to go there?

Told that Eustace had a bust up at Blackburn as he did not get backed by the hierarchy in the window, he then went over his bosses heads to the Indian owners who did not take kindly to that.
This has been set up for over a week and Warne knew hence why matters came to a head just before the team coach set off to Norwich

    "Told that" were you?
Interesting, because it's been in a few newspapers and mentioned on TalkSport.

I think this and some other topics on here at the moment just underline the dire state that football is in.
    And it cannot be denied.
We are all fed up with it. Take yesterday for example. The game needs cleaning up, the ainsworths need removing. The weak ref yesterday had no intention of doing anything about it.
Managers come and go and treated like easy come easy go. The money flowing into game is not regulated properly.

It is easy to see, and to predict how warne was essentially used to get derby promotion, and then like as not would be removed.
    It is just another indicator.

No issue with someone like Matt being considered for the role if it was vacant (it isn't, and I doubt it will be for some time), but I'd have concerns around (to a lesser extent) him getting the respect of the players in the short term, and (to a larger extent) getting the respect he'd need from the board and owner.

Plenty have moved into management with no real pedigree or having worked through the pyramid and had success, and an established manager is no guarantee of anything.

In principle, at the right time, I would be comfortable with Matt or a move of this kind.
