    Matchday Thread: Plymouth v Derby

One on the trot, then two on the trot, anyone dare to dream about three?

Could be a battle too far. Love to win but expect a loss or hard fought draw.

Bad night last night with wins for Hull, Stoke and - above all - that confidence boosting win for Plymouth at Portsmouth.
Suppose that’s how it’s going to be till the end of the season with us still having to play all those four sides - plus Luton - and with Oxford and Cardiff being dragged back into the relegation battle.

I do wonder if Oxford's bubble has burst, and they'll drop back down. It's a battle, but with all those 6 pointers, firmly back in our own hands.

Win all 9 games and the rest is academic. However, I don't see that happening. Just need enough points to stay above Luton and Plymouth and get past Cardiff. Sounds easy. Hopefully it will be but that isn't the "Derby Way".

I'm going to predict a win. No more injuries from the Cov game. Lang?s (correct pronunciation is Langaws, surprised his parents in the Neppy by pronouncing it correctly). Wilson back after being rested against Cov. A team functioning like a football team. Every reason to feel confident.

    1-2 Derby

I'm confident all of a sudden, more after Tuesdays game. Amazing how a week can change things.

Going for a 3-1 win to the rams.

That’d be good, but after weeks of thinking we’d changed our name to Derby Countynil, I’m wondering if we can manage two goals in three consecutive games. 2-2 and that’ll be okay.

Despite our two home wins the bottom line is we are crap away and I don't see that changing much.
Of the three teams at the bottom I think Plymouth are most likely to escape the drop and, bearing in mind our lack of strikers, I think a narrow loss looms.

    1-0 defeat at best!

Its a real struggle to put this game in mind and not be haunted by the apparition of Dave Watson lumbering onto the Home Park pitch nearly 40 years ago - and we think we're short of forwards now! My God we were bad that day, I swore I'd never go to another Derby game (although I went to the replay on the wednesday, AND the debacle against Brighton the folloowing saturday), the current team on current form are better (and Plymouth are IMO worse) so I'm going for a single goal victory, lets say 2-1, scorers Adams and Harness, Fozzy MOM and at least one Zetterstrom clearance lamped right out of the ground. COYR! .

Wow. Long afternoon! Good call Sith. Nine points and seven goals…what a week!
Pity Cardiff won but other results weren’t bad.
