    Kop Choir

    1970 The Millerfans were victorious against mighty Liverpool Tottenham Southampton Wolves and Newport the Songs were Mighty Quinn, ilkley moor , yellow Submarine. Prize was a trip for 30 miller fans to Italy for European cup game and a Cortina I remembr Keith Gleeson bellowing the songs out this was televised on Question of sport with David coleman Does anyone know who got the car and was any of you a lucky fan that went to Italy.

    We'd have no chance on winning that now, with songs about our striker being slightly above average height!

    Can't fully remember the name but I think the surname was Booth.

    I think that you had to be over 18 years old to enter the competition. I was too young. Whoever won the car, or went to Italy, must therefore be over 66 years old now.
    I have got an old RUFC pennant, with club honours printed on it - Champion Kop Choir is one of the honours listed.

    Archie miller was in the Kop Choir he could not sing just made the numbers up.

    Archie, our kid and 28 others went to Italy, some of that 28 were very nice females.
    Enjoyed by one and all......that's Italy, the match and the Competition....

    Thanks guys I was in the crowd singing along but didnt get to go to Italy .20 years old then now 68 still remember some good times .Half time moving to other end of ground for second half. miss those pies good luck millers at Wigan.
