    Hexadecimal football

This is what we used to play on "Bacup Rec" on Sunday afternoon. Initially it would be about 8 v 7 at kick off but as other lads kept drifting up and asking for a game it soon became about 16 v 16. I'm not sure that anyone kept score but a good time was had by all. On a bad day though we would play binary football or wally.

Likewise up Bleak House estate on a field at the end of Forfar St, all shape and sizes would turn up, some still in their Sunday suits. Sometimes we would get chased off by the local farmer Collins, maybe Collinge?
