    Nightmare day

    Out of the FA cup
    Gordon suspended
    Hall injured
    Our CB are shoite

Howe should rest players against dippers in the final, but he wont do that.

Cant see us getting anything out of this season. Anything above top 7 is fantasy.

Disagree about the final, Viking, mate.

Play the strongest team possible. It could be that only Gordon is missing and Barnes could have one of his better days?

We've still got a chance because we know what this team are capable of.

However, I agree about today. Absolutely fucking horrific.

Of course, we have to play the strongest team.

However, it could cost us points in the league with more injuries, suspensions and fatigue.

If we win the cup (!) it?s a great season no matter what happens in the league.

There is just one problem... we just cant beat Liverpool. Dont even think about it in a final.

    Most bankers game this season.

I have quietly watched the resurgence. I am happy with our direction but; The same excuses re the bad performances are becoming a tad too obvious. This team albeit, some are a bit older than when EH took over, or not delivering a consistent performance. I am fully behind the team and understand the undercurrent politics that prevent NUFC from progressing, yet certain other teams not as blessed as us seem to be out performing us. I cannot put my finger on it but the sporadic performances are baffling.

I'd love to know what is said at half-time because it feels reccently, we go in ok and come out at half-time asleep.

That's a very good post and the point about players being older is particularly relevant.

Schar has been brilliant as has Burn but, if they were stuffed toys, some of their stitching would be a bit ragged with the filling peeking out in places, an ear might be torn and an eye missing. Still much-loved and capable of performing their intended role...just not to the same standard as before.

I'm beginning to feel that whimsy might be my only way of getting through these next few weeks.

More seriously, there's nothing like a really shity day supporting NUFC to erode patience and shorten perspective (and I fully include myself in that) so I get that folk might find some of the PSR and APT stuff wearing a little thin, especially when you look at the likes of Bournemouth, Brighton and Fulham progressing.

Although...APT and PSR are, imo, the main reason our season is at a crossroads and could turn to shit. Lack of options to change things up and challenge for places has lead to performances like we've seen recently.
