    According to Nige

After a failed Stags (substantial) bid in the Summer, they enquired again in January before Notts sold to MK Dons for over ?400,000. If that is true that is some fantastic business by the club. I thought the rumoured ?300,000 was worth taking with only six months left on contract

Says what MK offered wages wise would make him by far the highest paid player at stags, I guess we?re talking at least 6k a week then.

I hope MK Dons didn't negotiate a 'money back if not fully satisfied' clause!

Not after such an exemplary audition, surely?

Wow, that's great business by Notts and pretty desperate by MKD.

Must be nice for Crowley to be playing for a club that can finally go all the way, too.

I don't blame him for taking a new job that offers significantly more money. Most people would do the same. It's the bull**** story about how MKD is a great club on an exciting journey that rubs me the wrong way. That and the passive-aggressive badmouthing of Notts - a club that is objectively superior to MKD in every way other than the splashing of cash.

That's a figure I heard from a friend who seems have some inside knowledge. He said Crowley wanted to be on the same or more than Goldie last summer and Notts wouldn't play ball. Likely we would have had a very sulky player on our books and be ?400k worse off if he'd stayed.

Just as a comment on Crowley, and Macca; when they came to Notts they were a good fit and thrived. It would seem that the recruitment models at MKD and Millwall don't work. A big plus for Radar, the Bros and presumably RM.
