O/T the great Tommy sleep out.

    https://rbli.co.uk/rbli-events/the-g...mmy-sleep-out/

I will be completing the great Tommy sleep out in March to raise awareness for ex servicemen and women who are homeless.
Not enough is being done hopefully this should raise awareness.
It?s appalling how they are treated.

    Well done, Yak.

Very slightly off topic, but I represented a former soldier some years ago who had been very badly affected by his time in Iraq and who was homeless, alcohol dependent and in a bit of bother with the law.

To be honest, it was a real eye opener for me and I have donated to the charity, Combat Stress, who were trying to help him.

    Respect to you Kerr.
It really is a minefield for veterans.
I struggled with Booze and a really uncontrollable temper at times.
As a former special forces soldier I spent my whole time trained to operate in a totally different world and mindset.
You come back to civilian world and it?s so difficult to adapt.
Combat stress carry out an amazing role with limited resources.

ItÂ’s a screwed up world where we can find Holiday inn accommodation for illegal immigrants but struggle to keep forces veterans off the streets.

Good luck Yak and well done

YAK, top man indeed. Total respect to you.

Some have asked already but do you have a link of your own to donate to? Whatever night you choose to do it, hope you get to raise plenty for not forgetting your Brothers and Sisters in arms.
