    This day

Sorry to start a new thread on today but this is the most special day for me since I started supporting the club 50 years ago - better than signing Keegan or Shearer, better than Sir Bobby arriving, even better than the slug selling up.
It only started to sink in when I saw our name being engraved on the cup but still a long way to go to realize fully what happened today.

Chelsea, Arsenal and, now, Liverpool beaten and then to play like that - a true champions performance throughout each round and the final.

I hope every supporter will remember this day for ever - an historic day for our amazing club and supporters.

    HTL

(?.and a special thought today for MA and the losers down the road).

A day unparalleled in my NUFC supporting life.

There are precious moments, for sure-incredible wins, landmark goals, memorable moments.

    But we've never won anything.

    Until now,

To all those who are no longer with us, we raise a glass in remembrance and celebration. No longer with us but never forgotten.

I'd echo everything said above. All the more sweeter when you remember the bad old days - which there were many.

The seasons not over yet though, still that top 4/5 to shoot for and with Chelsea and City faltering its in our power. Win the game in hand and we are 4th.

Can it getvany better? Yes it can and will.

This is the first step on the new path. We are League Cup champions. The psychology of winners has been realised by everyone involved. We will stand up tall and fight against the likes of the cartel or the Euro cartel clubs. We'll not see a performance like the two legs against Dortmund last season.

Those 2 matches against the Germans were the most significant bench mark matches. They just did a number on us. IMO they were 'the big club' in that group for the way they beat us. The other two showed nothing for us to fear. We dominated PSG & ran out of legs against Milan.

This is a sign to all the agents and players that this club is a WINNING CLUB and if you want to win things join NUFC.

    Ain't it just the sweetest
