Are Tony Stewart's Centenary year celebrations about to go flatter....

.....and quicker than a bottle of Dom Perignon P3 Plenitude Brut Rose?

Everything is currently completely wrong at RUFC. Yes we have a club mainly thanks to TS but, everything seems to be spiralling out of control on what should be the man's finest hour. He has taken us from absolutely nothing to where we are now and some might say, a point of a truly magical 10 year spell and one hell of a rollercoaster ride where we enjoyed more ups than downs, Wembley visits, with trophies acquired along the way, via promotions and the Papa Johns.

This season after what looked a promising pre season on paper with the players brought into the club, boy has this gone pear shaped and fell off the table. It just simply hasn't panned out and the fans are now voting with their feet. What must Tony be thinking?

His friendship has clearly blinded his focus with Steve Evans but, his initial return did prove to be a good investment as season tickets showed an increase on the previous season.

What is Tony thinking now? It may well be his very last season of owning and running the club, let us not forget he is now 80 years of age and should be well resting himself well away from the turmoils of running a club on a daily basis, I know I would if ever I was in his position and age. He deserves a royal fanfare for all the good he has given the town folk of Rotherham and from all those be it near or far away who follow and support our club.

His final throw of the dice, does he apply level headedness and appoint a new Manager now, in order for them to get the feel of the club before his last season in charge next season or, run with the belief that Steve Evans, the man of two previous promotions with our club, can do it one last time and Tony goes out on a high?

Whatever he decides to do, I just truly hope he rides off into the sunset as a final winner knowing he has done us and most of all, himself, very proud.

Brin I'm fairly sure if Evans stays the crowds will plummet because I don't think many people believe he has the capabilities to build a successful team anymore.
Added to that, a lot of people seem to dislike him intensely and didn't want him to come back to the club in the first place.
TS needs to make his decision based on business logic and not be blinded by any misguided sentiment for someone you say he considers to be a friend.
I wouldn't like to guess what he'll do because he's in a really difficult position and whichever way he jumps it could all go horribly wrong.

Don't think he cares as long as he's not losing much personal money. Maybe he will when season ticket sales drop below 2000. Many many supporters have had enough .

Celebrating anything nearly 50 years too late will lead to drinks going flat.

Even when we were in the fourth tier we had that belief, because we were promised so many things but twelve years on very few, if any were fulfilled. At present this club has been led down a black hole and we don't own the ground. All the assets have been sold and the performance levels have dropped to such a low standard, around 50% of season ticket holders are not even bothering to go.Bottom line is the club is clueless and just changing this useless manager will make little difference.

It won't matter to TS, apparently he's a red wine man.
