No repeat result for U21?s,at Swansea

I went to this fixture on Monday night , hoping I?d see Andy Farrell youngsters show me ,why they were 3rd in the table. I was wrong. The first half belonged to the home side, and how they never went in 5-0 up at the interval , i do not know. For the Clarets, they looked as though they all met each other ,5 minutes before the game commenced, with the team unable to string a few passes together, plus a dodgy performance from the goalkeeper, whose distribution of the ball , was awful. He was so bad ,that throughout the 2nd half, the several hundred home fans, were jeering him, every time he was about to kick the ball upfield. I?d never seen that happen at this level before.
The second half brought an improvement, but despite several substitutions, the Clarets youngsters were unable to take advantage of more possession, than their opponents. The style of football, mirrored the first team, a lot of playing out from the back, a lot of side to side passing, and the ball going back to the goalkeeper ,far too much. Does this sound familiar to you ? Swansea were well worth the win, without adding to their two first half goals. I think it?s time to look at the recruitment system, and the set-up overall. I didn?t see anyone outstanding, no one who looked as though they could make the grade. Isn?t this what developing youngsters, is all about ?

Sounds like the Gawthorpe Black Hole will soon be back in business.
