Posting this on here as there is too much of a trust presence on the other place.
Mullen you stood for the trust board once before, but NOW you are needed on there more than ever. And if you stood again you would definately win! The fan base now understands how important it is to have someone who will actually represent the views of the fans and will actually be a critical voice in the boardroom.
For the sake of the club please consider standing again at the next opportunity. Maybe we could even assemble a team of likeminded fans who could stand together and then actually make some changes

I stood last time as an alternative, you can re read my statement which I take no pleasure in my concerns were correct and I finished last. Imo when I stood Gerard?s statement was excellent, a plan and faultless and he finished second last. It?s a popularity contest and I?m not popular, it?s life so be it.

I also think a lot of members that have concerns about the trust simply won?t renew/join.

What?s really annoyed me is the UNITA lot, and there?s a lot in the board, really went after and correctly to the old trust board saying to close to owners etc etc and as soon as they got in and the takeover happened have been very hypocritical and done exactly the same - hypocrites.

But no I don?t want to stand again, I don?t think there?s a slim chance of being tempted.

Things are very different now from the first time you stood. People wanted change last time and went for UNITA. Now theyve seen not much as changed, apart from those changes we ushered in the Brady Bunch without first checking they knew anything about English football.
Now they want change even more. And I am sure the actual changes you would offer would be very popular and just want we need as a club to move forward

Back in 2023 the financial situation means a takeover was desperately needed, preferably by someone with cash to invest. The Piataks ticked that box and have put their money where their mouths are, but without the knowledge or skills to invest properly. And the consequence of that is we will be non league next season.
If someone in the trust had said to them when they were in the process of the takeover "we like that you have funds, and have plans to invest, but how do we cover the problem of your lack of experience" and had refused to back them unless this risk was covered (e.g. by getting a proper, experienced management team in place) I have a feeling we would still be a League One club today.
Mullen YOU WOULDVE SAID THAT!! And if elected you would say it again. And, something which looks more and more likely as we go down, if they are looking to sell up and move on, you would demand it of any new owners.
Will the current trust say that? I doubt it. So someone like you is badly needed to safeguard the clubs future!!!

I did say it on the buzz board but I was accused of being negative etc. I had concerns but also a bit of belief because I thought they?d change things and employ proper people but it?s been anything but.

I don?t take any pleasure at all.

And no I don?t think one person in the trust thought we?d be anywhere near this position, I think they are in shock to be honest.

I still don?t want to stand, never say never but there?s no way I?d get on no way at all as those that maybe share my opinion won?t be trust members.
