Thanks Soulman, really interesting and perhaps clarifies the problems Tony had. He saw Dike train every day he trained, perhaps only three days a week. I wonder if physiologically he is up to it any more given his last two long layoffs with the same injury.

Understandable why he has been a bit part player. It is often said we don’t see what the coach/manager sees.

I cannot understand why Mowbray has gone to the press around this. What did he achieve? It feels kinda cruel as Dike has been out for 3 years and is on a measured plan to re-introduce. The world and his wife can see he can't play many minutes, why talk about it in the media?

I agree. I would personally try and sell Dike before he breaks down again. I hope for his sake he doesn?t but I feel he will. Never rated him from the minutes seen and goals missed.

It was after the Derby match prior to his dismissal. That is what the report says. Sometimes people need to read what is written and not what they want to read.

TM was obviously disappointed with the result. Given what we know now it is perhaps a little understandable why he would be so. He was adhering to the principles laid out by the Nester principles, which clearly did not work as we don?t have the squad.

Corberan was struggling and he was not working to the Nester principles. The manager merry go rounders were calling for his head. Believe in the system and if I am wrong I?ll come out and say so, unlike those that just moan and moan.

I assume you are saying I haven't read the article. A bit of an odd and condescending post OB, because I had.

Just because someone doesn't share your viewpoint, doesn't mean they can't fkin read! Jesus wept.

On the contrary BM. I used the word ?people? rather than you specifically. I fully accept that people have differing views, you perhaps and I. No offence was intended at all perhaps I should have been more clear, I was referring to some fans who have views based on the fact we are not going to be promoted and on their utter disappointment ( which we all have it?s a natural part of being a Baggie.

It is a shame you felt it was aimed at you personally, perhaps it was due to me responding to your post, which I did indicate TMs remarks were made at the end of the Derby match before he was dismissed.

Of course we will not all agree to everything concerning West Brom. I understand that, it would be boring if we did.. I?ll leave it there because we don?t need to get personal with the use of expletives etc. It is not my way.

As I say, I will put my hands up and I was wrong if we do better and get promoted next season or even hang on to a manager come May 2026. I am man enough to do that.

Did the people not vote with their feet? Never seen so many empty seats before kick off v Derby and before the whistle the majority there left the stadium. Clear sign that the majority of the supporters had enough! Mowbray like many managers would have done it his way. Do we really believe Swift and Grady came on at half time at Cov because of the Nestor model FFS!

Season ticket enquiries will increase since Mowbray left as it?s the fresh hope and expectation of a new season now.

Im beginning to wonder about Mowbray. First he blames Carlos, then he blames the players. Actually mentioning names isnt very professional or bonding. Maybe he needed more time to get over his illness. Players who are working well together dont suddenly show signs of discontent for no reason.

I was one of a few who was absolutely genuinely gutted for Dike when he injured his Achilles the second time around. Let?s not beat around the bush, there were some on here who said the club should get rid. Where as others offered support and said let him mend, give him time etc.

I suspect he is suffering mentally as well as physically and would not want the same outcome as the last time. That is totally understandable.

Back to Tony Mowbray?s comments. It was unprofessional perhaps, however, to be absolutely fair, it was some fans, some posters on here and on other forums and some at games that were calling for Dike to be given more game time. It was those same people who were saying that Lankshear should be played up front and god knows how many other options.

Think about it for one moment. Given the injuries along with the governing way the club insists the game is played, was it Mowbray who failed because he was not up to the task or the players because they are not up to the suggested model and unable to play the way the club wanted. Let?s be honest that model has not inspired many of us so far. Add to that the one of the only player who could score was injured.

I am not a qualified football coach, I do not have badges and I do not see how players perform in training. I do attend games and will make comments on what I see on occasion. I do not tend not to watch us on tv sat at home (not a dig at anyone because I do watch international rugby sat at home, if I am unable to travel).

I cannot recall the manager we had when a certain section of our fans wanted them gone. I will wait to see who is our next manager/coach is and how long that are here before we hear the same old, ?they have to go.?

We really need to give these people a chance. I think we have had twenty managers/coaches in the last sixte en years. Not a great record is it.
